The peanut pistachio comes from South America, but is produced in many parts of the world. The two most populous nations - China and India - produce together 50 percent, perhaps more, of the total world harvest.
Peanuts are marketed in September, and while there are Greek, we usually import them from Egypt, China and Argentina. We can buy them in their natural form (with shell), cooked (salted or not), or without shell, but with peeled toast (salted or without salt), or without peeled and salted or unsalted (the known tables).
The nutritional value of peanuts is impressive. Peanuts are rich in fiber and contain 13 vitamins and 26 minerals, many of which are lacking in modern diets. They also contain antioxidants and are rich in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids.
Our company has a strong Greek and foreign Peanut Crumb (China and Argentina).
