Apricot is a delicious and sweet fruit in orange-yellow color. The exterior of the apricot (peel) is thin and usually fluffy. It comes from China and came to Europe from Armenia. Apricots are rich in Vitamin A and B, contain antioxidants, potassium and fiber, helping to improve vision and good heart health. When choosing them, prefer the relatively unripe fruits and do not rely on their color, but be careful,they must have characteristic aroma. Make sure they are extremely soft only if you want to make compotes or jam.
