Macadamia South Africa
Macadamia stands out for their special buttery and delicate flavor. They are mainly grown in Australia and Hawaii, while in Greece they are mainly imported from South Africa. They are eaten plain, while they are also used in confectionery, but not in very large quantities, because it is in danger of becoming "heavy" the taste of the preparation.
They are a very good source of selenium, which has antioxidant properties, while containing Vitamin E, as well as other nutrients. But they should be consumed in moderation as they contain saturated fat, which increases cholesterol levels.
Our company has macadamia in two sizes: No 1 and No 0.
